Upcoming Schedule of Classes or Events

TODAY, 21 MARCH 2012 - FREE SOCCER CLINIC

David Matlin, the Executive Director of the Hawaiian Islands Invitiational (HII) Professional Soccer Tournament would like to invite all AYSO players and coaches to attend a free clinic. Participating professionals include defenders Kosuke Kimura and Scott Palguta, forward Andre Akpan and midfielder Kohei Yamada, along with youth coordinator Brian Crookham from the Colorado Rapids, midfielder Alon Blumgart and defender Charles King from the Melbourne Heart, and midfielder Kim Ikhyun and defender Lee Wongyu from Busan I’Park. Players from Yokohama are to be determined.

It's a great opportunity for the AYSO players and coaches to attend a free clinic and a chance to meet the Pros!!

The HII is a two-day tournament at Aloha Stadium on Thursday and Saturday, 23 and 25 FEB 2012. Top Professional teams from Japan (Yokohama), Korea (Busan I'Park), Australia (Melbourne Heart) and the US (MLS Colorado Rapids) will play.

In preparation for the Kirk Banks Tournament the following coach courses are being scheduled:

Intermediate Coach--Section 7 is sponsoring this course on March 3-4, 2012 at Waipio Soccer Park. $25.00 fee. Must be U-12 certified to attend and a currently registered AYSO volunteer to receive course credit. Please register for Course #201200556 on eAYSO. Instructor: Earl Mente. Advanced Coach--Section 7 is sponsoring this course on March 16-18, 2012 at a place to be determined. $25.00 fee. Must be Intermediate certified to attend and a currently registered AYSO volunteer to receive course credit. Please register for Course #201200017 on eAYSO. Course Instructor: Mark Kane. Contact AYSO Region 188 Coach Administrator for more information.

Note 1: Referee Course: For U8 and below, only Referee Part I is required, for U10 and above, both parts are required.
